I've got a 66 fastback with EFI 5.0, T5 with cable clutch, and HiPo headers. I'm thinking about going to ceramic coated Tri-Y's. Who's running them, what manufacturer and where did you find them? Appreciate your help.

I have a set of Patriot ceramic tri-y's on my 1966 fastback. They work great for my application (289, C4, X-pipe, mandrel exhaust through valance, car lowered about 3" front and 1" in back). In addition they have good ground clearance compared to my old Headman headers (have not hit a speed bump yet).

I bought these on eBay from one of the major Mustang dealers about a year ago ($230-240 + shipping).

Quoted directly from Mustang Steve's web site, Hopefully he won't mind.

Although this kit fits the T-5 and Tremec factory cable type bellhousing, SOME HEADERS MAY INTERFERE WITH THE CABLE AT THE BELLHOUSING / CABLE AREA.
Tri-Y headers are especially problematic, but can be modified by relocating one of the tubes.

Hooker Super Comp long tubes fit well.

When using a 351W, the Heddman long tube headers fit like they were made specifically for this application, and their shorty headers fit great, too. Stock manifolds present no problems.

If you buy headers, make sure that it has a ceramic coating. While it may only be one layer, it will last longer than a non coated 1. And if you are broke, stupid, etc, buy 4 cans of high temperature primer to keep rust from forming for about 1 year. After that ur screwed.
