My exhaust setup is in my sig. I went to a car show last weekend, and people were giving me compliments like "hey your car sounds like it has a killer cam." I was just like, lol, it doesn't have one, and they were all amazed.

Anyone else with my exhaust get the same comments?

Well wanna hear something funny ?

I was @ work , i finished my shift and a bunch of ricers ( i work with) who likes my stang were in the parking lot near and they were like " damn man i really like the sound of your stang" im like "umm thanks , wanna hear it louder ? " theyr like " hell ya"

so i fire it up and leave it on idle and go outside to chat with them and one of 'em goes in the driver windows, check my RPM meter and hes like " what the hell, your motor rumbles but the RPM doesnt even move!! how can it happen ? "

im like "it's a v8"

My friend has a 96 Cobra and has straight pipes and his car sounds nothing like mine when it's at idle. It definitely has something to do with the flowpaths.

I hope not. The 4v engines sound different than the 5.0 engines.

Yeah mine was just like that. I remember before my heads and cam i could sit behind my car and think damn it almost sounds like it has a cam. But it was the stocker. I mean our cars only idle at 600rpm thats pretty low. Certain set ups make it sound like it has one. You should hear mine now!!! MMMM Cammmm.

A lot of people think I have an aftermarket cam as well. I think the h-pipe, flows and 3" dumps did it for me. It has a very deap rumble with a slightly irregular idle to it. I assume the irrecular idle is due to loss of back-pressure. The sound is very intimidating but the only problem now is, the people I want to race wont race me but the people that will kill me always want to race. Better to have a silant killer rather than a loud wimp.

just a stock cam ....i have the same exact exhaust set up which i put on earlier in the week and now it does sound like it has a pretty decent cam in it... even though its just stock the flowpaths and mac o/r H for some reason makes the idle sound great! to a v-8 and o/r H pipe!
