Mach 1 why does the 04 mach 1 rev so high?

i was looking at one and i noticed the tach redlined at like 6800 or something like that. does it just rev so high because its dohc, or did ford put a hotter cam in it or what?

The automatic Mach 1s rev to 5800 and the manuals rev to 6800. DOHC motors rev higher than SOHC motors. I am not sure of what the 1999 and 2001 Cobras rev to, but it should be similar.

No pushrods.

Oh and the 5 speeds have forged steel cranks & the automatics are cast.

Well my local dealer sold his last and final Mach 1's
