why is it such a big deal?

I owned 2 Capris and miss both of 'em. I had an 81 RS and an 81 GS. Although they coulda both used a 5.0 transplant they looked good. The RS was black and the GS was silver and pewter with T-tops. I lowered the GS 1.5" and add turbines. It looked pretty good. I was young when I owned both of them and didn't have a ton of money to play with. What I always loved about 'em was the muscular wide-body lokin' fenders and the tail light styling. The Capris always looked more muscular in my opinion. I'd still like to get another one too. Don' listen to that Bozo, he's got issues. If he can't appreciate the Capri then he's not a real "Mustang Man". What you need to do is get enough mods on it to smoke 'em and then that'll shut him down.

Some good suggestions about what to do with the co-worker. Is he married? If so, bang his wife. You have a Capri, which is more rare. When Capri's become bastardized is when people start mixing them with mustang parts when it comes to appearance.

My Capri is a bastard. Which is why I named it FrankenStang. My X did the conversion but I won the car in the devorce so nyeah nyeah to him. LOL I'm going to restore it back to a Capri (not the motor) when I can afford it. :(

I think we should start a fund to give franken enough money to convert back, A few hundred ppl give a dollar would probably be enough, then paint can come later, a mixmatch colored capri is better than a mustpri

John Puckett, who finished Third last year in his black-as-night '83 Capri RS, was on the same pace as he was last year as he ran a 10.675 best enroute to a 10.847 average to place Second overall. With his sprayed 302 long-rod engine back by a TCI C4, Pucket also had the only 10 second car that day.

Oh FrankenStang, you got me all reminiscing bout the good ol' days. Here was my first baby 1979 Capri. NOW before you totally laugh, this was my first car in high school (back in 1987) so some of the "cool" additions probably are not that cool today, but let me tell ya, everyone knew my car coming down the road, unfortunatly it caught the attention of the local authorities more times than I would like to mention... Boy I miss those days :(
