Why is my clutch pedal still hard to push in?

Went to look under the dash (inside car...hard to do with seat in the way) to see if the clutch cable was lined up with the hole to the engine bay...and well I didn't see anything...lol...couldn't get in a good position...I'll worry about it when we go to install the new clutch (Spec Stage 1 - $189), aluminum driveshaft (got the other prices...where is the cheapest most reliable place for the driveshaft?), and clutch cable ($40)...

Did you fix your cable routing problem?? You're wasting your time until you've adressed that. Here is how it is supposed to be routed. This is on a completely original bone stock mustang that's never been modified at all. Note how after it bolts to the shock tower, it goes straight down, routes on top of the steering rack and goes under the k member. This is how yours needs to be.

Thanks for the pic v8only...I didn't address it (though I looked at it) because I'm just going to wait till I do all that other stuff (clutch, cable, driveshaft) and then position it correctly...my looks similar but it goes out juat a bit further and it also has a more "up and down" angle to the clutch fork than the picture shows (angleing towards engine...)...I couldn't even see where my clutch cable or quadrant was underneath the dash...all kinds of clumps of wires...I don't know how I am going to get to it...lol...again thanks for the pic and that will be used as a reference later on...

Anybody know where the cheapest place to get the FRPP driveshaft at?...

If your trans is shifting ok, is not difficult to get into gear, does not have excessive grind in reverse, and does NOT pick up right off the floor, I wouldn't worry about it.
