Why is my E-Brake light on all the time?

Last wednesday (2.17) my e-brake light started coming on whenever i braked with my foot. Now it will come on and stay on no matter what. It seems like it first comes on when i first put the clutch in and then it stays on all the time. All this happened the same day the switch for my passenger side window stopped going back up. Oh and my E-brakes is NOT on.

My e-brake light used to come on all the time, and then I took it back to the dealer I got it from and he said there was some kinda recall on it. Got it back couple of days later and the brake light hasn't come back on since.

Take out the center console and look to see if the sensor came off the handle. If your E-Brake actually works I would check there first. Make sure the E-brake is off the slap the passenger side of the center console... if it flickers then you may need to re-mount/position it, or replace it..............

check you brake fluid level. i'd bet the title to my car that it's low. and it's probably low because you either have a leak or your brakes are worn out. i would check for both. :nice:

my e-brake stops me from moving anywhere when im parked, BUT my wheels do not lock up when i pull it, is that what your talking about?

there is also a little micro switch on the side of the ebrake handle that can vibrate loose. Mine did that not too long ago and stayed on all the time. Just a little info, you can look thru the rubber slit in the console nad see if the little white switch is loose or not.
