I installed my BBK headers last week along with my GT40 upper & lower intake. ( non ceramic coatic ) I noticed right off that the drivers side headers seemed to be changing color. Now that it's been a week or so, you can really see a difference between the two. Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas? Is this normal? Thanks...

Thanks... I don't mind the color so much, I just wanted to make sure that one side of the motor wasn't running at a higher temp than the other because of the intake swap... if that's even possible?

sure it is possible, That is why nascar's have cylinder head temp guages if your burnt out a valve or broke a rocker that would be good ground's for a raise in head temp.

Man... that sounds kinda serious! Would the car even run with a burnt valve or a broken rocker? I don't notice any strange tics or other noises coming from the motor & power definately has improved since doing my mods, what else can I check for?

yeah I got bbk shorties and they are rainbow colored and get hot as hell. Seeing as though i'm getting LT's and ceramic coating who cares. Performance is still good even though discoloration. Might buy exhaust wrap until I get 369 for LT's.

ya of course it would run with a burnt valve of broken rocker. if a rocker was broken then it would sound like a marbel bouncing around in your valve cover. But you are fine these are just examples that i was giveing you ddint mean to cause alarm!

Dick? Whos being a dick? Whats his name? I'll mess him up for you with my quad laser. You cannot defeat the quad laser. The bullet is immense! There is no stopping it.

Dude... why did you even start then, with the " nerd " crap? Sorry my question pissed you off to the point that you had to come onto this post & reply with some 8th grader bull sh-t type response. If you don't like the question, pack up your quad laser, and go the fu-k someplace else!

Oh, I know, it all makes sense now, your back on the pipe again! I thought for sure all that rehab time would have done the trick. Guess not? I'll tell you what, I'll concede this little discusion to you.( that means you win ) That way you can go find yourself a " rock man ", take care of buisness, then shamefully crawl into some dimly lit closet & smoke yourself back to happiness!

Calm your jets. I like to have fun on here and you dont have to take everything so seriously. And no I dont do drugs. I think its funny that you assumed I was even talking to you when I posted the comment. If you ever watch Adult Swim you may someday know what I was even talking about. I cant believe you became so upset that you sent me and email about the whole thing, lol. Anyways, your problem is not engine related, and you didnt break anything. The cheap chrome on those headers is going to heat up and discolor. Hell, even good chrome does that. Ever good at a Harley exhaust. I wouldnt sweat it unless say only one pipe was changed and I mean like really changed. If you were really running super lean, your header would be glowing at night, and Ive seen it before.
