Arkham, do you have a build date to focus on yet? Or are you stil c/u? It helps to have a focus date Side note: I know I don't have the best Mustang cause I still have payments. I am envious of those who paid cash! Also happy for them at the same time

Xaranthu,

No, no - I am pretty much open minded to all vehicles. I am an avid car lover. Doesn't matter the type as long as it is well built, dependable, has some 'umf' and looks decent. I am not pickey. Hell, between the 03 GT and the 05 Stang I owned a 03 Mitsu Gallant for 9 months that wasn't bad as a daily driver. It wasn't a dream car in any dort of the term, but it sufficed.

Nope. Please don't include me in the prissy, opinionated sector. I am a happy, open minded person. To each his own in the quest of the ultimate driving machine!

Jenn,

I was referring to personal choice, not intending to stereotype you - sorry. It's just that we all like to think what we have is the best; and it is really, for our own given situation. If you look at my sig, you can see I'm diverse to some degree. I'm in to a lot more than just Ford, but room is limited and the turbo 4's are business related.

I've owned 20 plus cars; turbo 4's from all of the big three, 5.0's, dodge 318s and even a Chevy Chevette.

As for cars with character only two. My 86 5.0 (Canadian Cobra) and my first Mustang SVO. RIP

My 6 is growing on me. I bought it by choice and get crap for it all the time. It's always easy for people to say you could have had a GT when they don't pay the insurance bills. I have 4 cars to insure... besides, the Turbo 4's have all the power I need anyway. Our project car is on it's way to a streetable 450 BHP.

Thanks for the apology, although it was not needed. I was in no way offended. Just making a quipped joke!

By the way, I have always thought the history behind the SVO 4 Cyl - Turbo Stang was interesting. My recollection is that Jack Roush had his hand in it back in '82 along with a limited number of engineers who prototyped 2 cars to take to Nelson Ledges, Ohio, as Grand Touring cars. Damn things did well! They made some changes and in '84 released a very limited number (something like 1500) that they intended to sell to Ford Execs. LOL. I see you have owned at least 5! Not bad.

Enjoy the MSVOs they are unique Stangs and special in their own right!

Jenn
