my only opservation is just make sure after you mod the bolt you compress the suspention all the way so you make sure the clearance is there in full suspention travel.
I owuld proably run a small spacer .125-.25 and machine the bolt just for a little margin under travel and lateral load.
good advise. I believe the bolt is closest with the suspension not loaded, and a side note, I was told if the bolt does have to be removed in the future a nut could be welded on and it would make it very easy if a wrench did not work with the shaved bolt head - so not to worry ! Good luck
does anybody make the deap dish wheel to customer specifed offset?
this would solve this. I now I was looking into zr1 rims on my chevelle and I found a company that would make them in an offset that would fit. I don't like wheel spacers personally. it is a slolution just not the best one IMO. grinding the bolt is not exactly the way I would like to solver either.
why not? it's basically the same as having a bigger offset, but it's 2 seperate pieces, same problems will apply with wheel studs or rotating mass, i mean if you want you can always glue the spacer on to the wheel
yea, the nittos are not a very wide tire, compared to the bfg 315's and the bolt gets closer when unloading the suspension, the offset on the fr500's may be better than the afs wheels. just be prepared when you put them on the car if it is needed.
