transmission is dropped. all the wiring is disconected, save for the clutch cable. HOW DO I REMOVE THE CLUTCH CABLE FROM THE BELL HOUSING!? I disconnected it from the clutch fork, but now due to its mushroomed end - it wont come away from the bellhousing. !!!#

I think there is a lil clip that holds the clutch cable to the bellhousing. Remove that and slide out the whole cable.

what he said... i just replace my t5 last week. there is a little metal clip you can pull out with your fingers. it should then slide right out.

it's just a little "C" shaped clip...make sure the cable is detached from the clutch fork or your quadrant, but i'd choose the fork over the quadrant due to limited space under the dash and playing the role of a transformer going from human form into a pretzel...
