wide body kit

Yeah, he hasn't come back yet because you just made him feel like ****. Just say in my opinion it doesn't look good. Don't have to be a prick about it.

So we should just lie and tell him it'll be awesome... so that he feel's good about it?

You remind me of "that parent that wouldn't tell their own kid that they suck at something, maybe try something else..."

Too afraid to hurt feelings to be honest...

where I come from, that's called being a :taco:.

And people like you give mustang owners a bad name. Every car show i go to or every forum i go on people tell me mustang owners are a$$holes..and there right.

We are enthusiastic, even fanatical, about these cars and we don't sugar coat things for the sake of sparing someone's feelings. We're all adults here (I think). If you can't stand criticism, don't air your dirty laundry all over the internet. He asked. He received.

This is the only Widebody that Ive ever seen on a fox that was done right...

He received and hasn't replied back..how do you know hes an adult and some teen who wanted opinions.

He asked a question on a public forum and received answers on a public forum. We have as much right to answer his question as he has to ask it. He's a troll with one post. Has he come back yet? I didn't think so.

That being said, there are ways to do it right. Observe:

Hundreds more out there...

ok most of these not so great, but the black one and the copper one with the flares are ok. i like the black one most its got like a mad max thing going.

seriously though some of these people here commenting are ones that really makes me hate saying, "yea, im a mustang owner". let the guy go. we all have our own styles, yea you may not like thhe idea but ya aint gotta be so harsh, i mean ya could just say somethin like "i personally dont like the idea, but its youre car roll with it and see what ya think".

To the OP:

Don't mind 1991notchbackLX -he seems to be suffering from split personality disorder. On any given day he can get all butt hurt and scream like a little girl when someone says anything negative about his or someone elses car. On other days it's okay to give an honest (good or bad) opinion on a "Public" forum.

Here's an excerpt from one of his posts to get an idea of what i'm talking about. Feel free to look at his other posts for more examples.

Sounds hypocritical to me.

I'm calling BS on that. Everybody That calls himself a car guy here that has a car that has started out w/ some mod that had fugly written all over it. I am one of them. I had a whip antenna bolted to the quarter of a 69 mach 1 when I was a kid. That same car had pin stripe tape on every body line the car had.

I quickly came to my senses however. I removed the 10-4 good buddy CB antenna, and filled the hole, removed the pinstripe tape, and got better by myself w/o the benefit of a community like this one.

If you want to shave your head, pull up one pant leg and wear an american flag upside down, more power to you. You won't be very popular, but hey. it's a free country.

Same goes for mods to our cars. Like I said, this is a community. If you don't care what anybody thinks, then you shouldn't ask for advice, or feedback.

I for one do care, It bugs the hell out of me when somebody says that my car isn't "their cup of tea." But what can i say,....I'm in touch w/ my "sensitive side":rlaugh:

Mike, I always enjoy reading your posts. I wonder why you're not a writer for some Mustang magazine you clearly have some skills.

Anyway. I agree and wanted to share my disgraces as well.

When I was 16, my parents gave me a rotted out POS Cougar with a 3.8 (slow as shyte) V6. This was back when the Fox 5.0 was king of the street, I dreamed of owning a 302 ford but couldn't. So I bought some chrome tailpipes, installed on on the driver side. And didn't have the money to even make a dual exhaust possible. I just hung the chrome pipe on the other side, it did NOTHING. Just bolted to the bumper haha.

Talk about rice, good thing that term didn't exist back then. We used the term "Canadian Tire Build" (Canadian Tire is like a pep-boys type store I guess).

Other ricer stupid (and dangerous) modifications included the flex-lite fan I installed. Of course the engine rotation wasn't right so, I bent the fan blades the other way and installed it hahaha!

Wanted lettered tires, couldn't afford that so I had the tires rotated (whitewalls on the inside) and bought some white paint and painted in the letters "TigerPaw" hahaha!

Then I had a glimpse of intelligence, removed the fake tailpipe, bought new black tires, worked like hell at fixing the body, painted the car at a friend's bodyshop and it went from some douchbag pre-rice era ricer to a clean 84 Cougar. Still slow as balls but at least the V8 guys didn't point and laugh anymore.

Funny you say that Steve, I think about it all the time. I have boot marks all over my ass where I keep kicking myself for not knowing that I'd like writing. Ironically, I hated English Comp. ( I got an "E" in the class in 12th grade) Yes, as you might be able to guess, the Colorado public school system had an E for students that at least made an effort to get through the class. Needless to say, my English Comp teacher did NOT find any of my stories entertaining back in 1976. No degree, nothing published, and no experience in the industry pretty much makes me a non-desirable to every publication I'd ever aspire to contribute to however.

As for my writing now, not every body gets me.
(I think I'm even too sarcastic for the Shaolin Crane) :jaw:

As for your Canadian Tire build antics,...LOL. I did just about every stroked-out thing that you did: Fake dual exhaust, and tire pencil white letters. Now the manually modified reversed pitched fan blade thing....you won there:canada:
I just used that goofy assed looking 4 blade job that was stock.

This poor kid is probably gonna sell his Mustang and buy a Talon now. You guys can sure be a bunch of haters sometimes.

There is nothing "hateful" in what I said. He said he didn't care what people thought of his car or mods, and I replied to it. There was plenty of self-deprecating in there to let him know that he wasn't the only one.

And I wasn't responding to the OP, I was talking to Nextgenponyfan.
