I wanna buy 4 03' cobar rims. Problem is that i take my car to autocross and road racing tracks alot. Would we be better for handle 17 by 9 all around or 17 by 9 in the from and 17 by 10.5 in that back?
 
Take a look at the typical Indy car racer and look at their tires. You should get your answer from that. The same size all around would be a more balanced idea for cornering and turning. If you want good traction in a straight-away, then yes, wider tires and wheels in the back is what you want.

Porsche's, Corvette's, Viper's, Ferrari's and Lamborgini's have wider wheels in the rear and they handle awesome. I don't know if Indy cars have the same size wheel and tires all around.
 
10 inch or 10.5 inch rims on the back are too big for say autocross. I would only use them for straight line performance. I run 10.5 " rims on the back of mine with 315/35/17's and i definatly wouldn't take these to and autoX event without changing them first. stick with either the 17x9's or 18x9 with a BFG G-force Tire preferably the KDW or KD for exceptional cornering.
 
Well i go alot of tracks like willow springs and buttonwillow. alot of turning. I was looking how 911's have bigger tires in the back. Can 10 inch rims fir on the front? I dont like 18 cause there are too big but do they improve anything? I need opitions.

The Cobra R has 18's and so do the Roush's, Steeda's and Saleen's. I was always under the impression that 18's with a low profile tire helps improve handling.

A lower profile tire has smaller wall on the side for less flexing for turning.
