255/50/16 is about as wide as you want to go.. People have put on 275/50/16's though..

255 is a 10" wide tire...I don't think i'd put a 10" tire on a 7" wheel, but that's just me. 235 is still roughly 9". I have 235's on my 8" welds and 225's on my 7" pony's.

Like I said.. People have gotten the 275 BFG's on them as a drag tire.. I'd never do it though...

I run the 255/50/16 BFG drag radials on Ponys and they work very well. 255's are fine -- most of the 255 tires recommend a 7" minimum rim width.. Maybe not optimal, but definitely not unsafe or out of manufacturers specifications.

Is there anyone on here running the 255/50-16 MT ET Street Radials on their stock pony's. I have a friend that bought these tires, but now he's not sure if he wants to mount them. Thanks.

The biggest I'd want to go on Pony wheels is 245/50/16....that's what I have on mine.
