Widest tires on bullitt?

Hey guys whats the widest tires i can fit on my 01 bullitt 17 in. rims ? stock is 245.

Any bigger than 255's would = bulging sidewalls and poor performance.
Just get some 17 x 9 wheels.

The widest tire I've seen people using on their stock 17X8's is 275's. But I would'nt go that wide on the stock rims.

255s would be the best choice, 265s if you wanna push it, I wouldn't do though.

If you were running drag radials I have seen quite a few people get 275's but some deep dish 17x10.5 bullits aren't that expensive, plus you would have a lot more rubber on the ground.

255/45/17's although it throws the speedo off a bit.

Some have done 275/40/17's, but the excessive sidewall bulge can actually hurt handling due to rolling over in the turns. It depends on the tire brand and how stiff the sidewall is.

I am using nitto 275/40 and have had zero problems and I like the look of the tire
