Hey i was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with their turn key ignition. It just started recently, BUt my key hole has a ton of play back and forth in the steering column. Yesterday, i put the key in and it wouldnt turn. I had to play around with it for 15min just get the key to click in just right so it would turn. Its kinda getting worse, anyone else have a problem like this?

Sounds like you need a new ignition lock cylinder. It's pretty easy to pop it out and replace. Only problem is you'll have to bring the new one to a locksmith and have them cut the cylinder to fit your current key.

New ignition lock cylinders are like $20-$30 online. Good luck!

This was a common problem with our cars, there is a TSB on it. My car has been doing the same thing, I can actually take the key out of the ignition while the car is running.
You too? I figured it's just the way my key is cut - its notches are pretty shallow. Whenever I get a new key cut, it stays in the ignition. But after it wears a while, the key can be removed.

It don't hurt anything, so I haven't bothered with it.

I got mine at the dealer for $40 and they cut the door bumps for free with two keys. Locksmiths wanted $120 to do it. FYI, the auto parts keys won't open the doors or trunk so you will have to use your old key for them and new key for the ignition. The dealer key opens everything but the glove box. I think a locksmith will key the glove box for about $20. A full lock set for doors, trunk, glove box, ignition is like $130 at the dealer. If you want, I have one of those auto parts ignition sets I'll sell you for $10, it cost me $19 and they won't take it back.
