Where are u guys getting your gears installed?

Local speed shops?

The dealer?

Steeda?

The Ford Dealer I work for has done my last three gear changes for very competitive prices and by a tech that knows Fords better than most independent shops ever could. They did the 4.10's in my '93 T-Bird 5.0L LX, the 4.30's in my '03 Mach1, and the 4.10's in my '07 GT. All done right the first time with no gear whine, howl, or issues. All cars were drag raced hard and never broke anything.

i spoke with my ford dealer.

They said they charge $400 for labor and $259 for 4.10 gears.

This is in palm beach, FL.

I paid $535($325 for labor)total. So that price from the dealer doesn't sound outrageous. If it's done right, I'd say it's money well spent!
