will 70mm throttle body benefit me?

my mods are in my sig. the stock size is 65mm right? my plenum is ported and polished, so i assume a larger throttle body will definatly be better cuz it'll match the diameter of the plenum. but will a 70mm one fit my stock air tubing? what will i gain with a 70mm? thanks!

That's a hard one to answer. I know that over on Modular Depot there is a write up where they tested all the different plenums with a 75mm TB and they got a small gain over stock. I'm not sure what type of a gain you would see.

that TB will definately boost the power to your cobra headlights and mach-1 chin spoiler!!!

but seriously...i'd save the money for that and use it elsewhere...I don't think you'll get much out of it...maybe down the road later, but with what you have I wouldn't spend the $170 or whatever for one. The ported plenum and PI heads should be breathing nicely as it is...so work on the exhaust!

i can get a FRPP 70mm for 60 bucks though. should i get it? if i get 5 hp i'll be happy, hehe. its just a definate difference between the ported plenum and the stock 65mm throttle body.

Don't get a frpp 70 because it is the butterfly is the same exact size as the stock on. I would take the stock tb and port match it to the plenum and leave it alone and spend the money else where.
