My buddy has a 94 mustang with a 3.8 and it blew a headgasket, he has found a low mileage 3.8 out of a 2000 model will it fit. I know the intake must be changed but is the shortblock the same. I don't know much about the v6 mustang and neede all the help I can get on this subject so he doesn't waste his money. Thanks

they will bolt up to the tranny and is a nice swap for more power.

swap in the entire engine but a new modified fuel rail will be needed

you can get them from www.rpm-mustangs.com i believe

also this is the perfect time to swap in a 4.2 truck engine from a 97+ V6 F-150. it is a very torquey engine ande will really wake up that stang. the only thing needed is a mustang 99+ mustang upper manifold/T-body and fuel rail

try out www.3.8mustang.com there are a few guy's over there who have done that swap

This also depends on where you live... In Cali and Texas you can NOT put an older engine into a newer car.. (Emmision standards)
