will a 89-93 mass air meter work in a 95

I have a 95 GT I am just wondeing if a mass air meter from 87-93 will work in our stangs. I am wanting to make a pipe to get rid of the bend in the rubber pipe from mass to throttle body. I am wanting a mass that will just plug and play. Will a mass from a lightning and the 42 lb. injectors go right in and work or do you have to do some splicing..

I defiantely know that a mass air from a fox will work, the 94-95 mass airs are an upgrade for the fox cars. I really dont know about the lightning unit.

To use the lightning you have to tune the computer via Tweecer, etc. or have a shop tune it and burn ya a chip or something along those lines, it isnt based off injector size, its based off of CFM/Voltage, the computer controls the fuel

I think if im not mistaken they are the same just one has a flange.

The SN95 MAF is larger, making it an attractive upgrade for foxes (IIRC, the 94-95 MAFs [not MAS's!] are the same size as the 93 cobra MAF.

A fox (non cobra) MAF is kinda restrictive but it will work if the mechanical bolting of it in is achieved. You can get an adapter for making a 94-95 MAF bolt up to a fox, or cut the flange off.
