Will a 97 cobra transmission work in my 2000 GT

Well like the title says I am trying to figure out if I can put a 1997 cobra transmission in my 2000 gt. I am pretty sure I can with no problems. I have done some checking and they are both the T45 transmissions and I can't see anything different in the two. Anyone know for sure before i do the swap.

The 97 has a mechanical speedo drive, your 2000 needs an electronic speed sensor. You' need to swap tailshaft housing and all the speedo stuff to make it work right. I look for a 99+ model transmission or fix the 2000

I know it would be easier to just buy one for my car. But I have a 97 cobra transmission found that my cousin has out of his car. It wouldn't cost me much so I am just trying to figure out if it will work

I got it....just swap the stuff and you're good

So I should just need to swap the tail shaft over and my speedo sensors. Is that correct.
