Will a Mac H pipe bolt up to stock catback?

So I am going to go with the Mac High-Flow H pipe w/ Cats 2.5" and am wondering if it will bolt up to a stock cat-back? This is for a 94 gt.

I can't tell you from personal experience but it is designed to do so.

Don't you want to upgrade the cat-back first? Or will the upgraded H-pipe still flow freely with the stock cat-back?

choped the ford mufflers and welded in magnaflows. I am mainly doing the h pipe mod for sound.

It won't sound much different than the stock H pipe. Maybe a little deeper.

I called mac and they have designed the flanges or something to work with both aftermarket and stock cat-back systems.

I just put a MAC off-road H on my 95'. Worked great and fits fine. makes it sound a little meaner. Good luck!

thats how i started with my 95 cobra. with a mac off road h pipe. (and yes it will bolt up to stock cat back). then i went with magnapacks cat back, not magnaflows. and its loud as hell. and i know they don't make magnapacks for 95. there's only a slight modifacation of the 96 model needed to make it fit so i went for it.

Yeah you shouldn't have any problems there. That's how most ppl started out, some type of Off-road pipe and then the mufflers.

UPDATE: H pipe is on the car!

The H pipe is on the car and I am so glad to finnaly have it sounding the way my 92 5.0 used to sound. The 94-95 are so quiet stock that I'd swear it was a crown victoria of the same year in disguise.

I disagree, the aftermarket h-pipes allow for a much louder sound. At least on my 98 gt it did.

What I meant was that when I replaced my stock h pipe with the Mac 2.5" cat h pipe, it was not much louder at all. I still had the stock catback and headers.

i was just snoopin around at the junk yard yesterday and found a stripped 90 stang.i noticed it had a huge looking h pipe so i measered it and it was 3'in pipe.i got the h pipe fo 11 dollars, what a deal. this thing is soo loud(has no cats)and my car is all stock. i dont know if im keepin it, unless i improve alot at the track.
