The title probably didn't make a lot of sense but here we go. I have the MAC off road H which comes in 3 sections. A tube on each side of the manifold which bolts up to the H section of the exhaust.

My question is.........

Can I buy for example, a catted BBK catted H section and bolt to the mac tubes coming from the manifold. When I say tubes, I'm not talking about header tubes, just the piping.

I sure hope this is possible because I'm pass due for an inspection and and am not even going to attempt putting the stock exhaust back on while crawling on my back.

Your response is greatly appreciated!:nice:

Not sure if this will work. Is this BBK catted H new or used? If its used, I wouldnt even trust the quality, because BBK stuff aint the best, & I wouldnt trust there cats, especially used ones. Why dont u just get some high flow cats welded in or bite the bullet & put the stock H on for a day. Its not all that hard as long as u have a freind helping.

Why would you not want to put the stock h back on but you would try and weld some BBK pipes into a MAC and then try to intall that? The second option sounds like such a hassel compared to the first.

I don't want to put the stock H back on.

I don't want to "weld" BBK in. I was trying to figure out if I can unbolt the MAC mid pipe and bolt a catted BBK in its place. Just the mid pipe and not the tubes that go to the manifold.

I guess I'm just too lazy to take the mac system off and wrestle with the one peice stock exhaust.

Do you have aftermarket shorty headers? If not i dont see how the stock h-pipe that you took off the car would require much effort to put back on. And using the stock piece you'd "wrestle" less than trying to mix-match non-interchangable parts for a leak free fit.
