I'm having 40 Series Flowmasters installed in a day or two and i'm hoping i wont be disappointed. I like my Magnaflows and all but i wanted something a bit louder.I have MAC equal length shorties and an unknown H pipe, its definately not stock because it only has 2 cats.Just not sure what brand it is.Do you think it will sound ok? or am i just being paranoid.

IMO, Flowmaster > Magnaflow as far as sound goes

many on here will disagree with that, though

the sound will def be different...the magnaflow is a more mellow sound that opens up, flowmaster is raspier

The Flows are installed and i love the sound. I even took the "long" way home.

[edit] I read some where that the sound will change a bit once they are "broken" in? Is this BS or what?

Friend has Magnaflow converter X and cat back, I have Off road H and 40's, his is quieter at idle, higher pitched at higher rev. Mine thunders everywhere, sets off car alarms when I start it, resonates big down the road, turn off the radio, you won't be needing it. I absolutely love it- what the 5.0 is supposed to sound like. Broken in is what your ears will get!
