Hey, I'm picking up a slightly used Mac H-Pipe, will I need to get new gaskets (which are from the headers to the h pipe, I presume?) And where can I get them besides Ford (Napa/Allied, Pep Boys etc?)

TIA :)

Need a new gasket? correct
Headers to H? correct
Where to purchase? Ford dealer for 15 bucks although I hear NAPA has them too.

Note...only the passenger side needs a gasket. The driver's side is the bell-type fitting so it requires no gasket.

Call the dealership first. We had problems finding them.
Oh and buy two while your there. You'll see why in the future.

I made my own out some sort of synthetic material that they use in the paper mill where I live on high pressure steam pipes. I have a bunch of the stuff and have sealed up several exhaust systems using it.
HMMM, you got me thinking with this one. Has anyone ever tried to use like a High Temp RTV sealer on the H pipe like they do on the shifter, or would this not work. I dont know, it just seems like everyone has leak problems at some point or another, oh well, the gears upstairs just got turning a little. Anyone have an opinion on this?
