My best run so far has been a 14.2@100.87 on pepboys street tires with a 2.3 60'.

Mods are:

92 AOD GT
4:10 gears, pulleys, shift kit, transcooler, 1 5/8 mac longtubes, offroad hpipe, flows, ram air/K&n, ported gt40ps, ported explorer intake, ecam, 1.6rr, 76m C&L, 65m tb, 190 fuel pump, 24lb injectors,lakewood 90/10's 50/50's

I was hoping for a little higher mph like 103-104. My engine builder told me that i will pick up mph when i get a new stall converter(planning on getting a 3000 rpm stall) and some drag radials. I thought i would only pick up et and not mph. Will i pick up mph or does my combo just suck?

I remember hearing that most performance converters will actually cost you a few mph rather than gaining any.

No it depends on stall speed and wieght.
Because you have the 4:10's gears you could run a lower stall speed converter than if you had 3:73's gear. That is a good choise of converter. If it were me I would put in a 3500rpm stall to get a better launch and 60ft time. Plus I've heard that a loser converter pulls harder.

well my 92 with just pulleys, 1 5/8 unequal headers, off road h, flows, CAI and stock H/C/I and 3.27 gears is running 14.2 @ 98.10 mph on street tires and a 2.2 60ft. what it does have is a high performance AOD rebuild and an Edge "Mild Street" converter 2600 stall. I've seen other peoples STOCK AOD cars run 15.2 at 91-92 mph and I hardly think the engine bolt ons that I have would add 5-6 MPH So I think you will only gain with a good conveter. I wouldn't go over 28-3000 stall. Rather than take anybody's word on this or that I would suggest you give Andre a call at EDGE and he will explain anything you need/want to know and get you going on the right track. http://edgeracingconverters.com/default.htm
