Will i see an increase in HP going to full 2 1/2 inch exhaust?

I currently have a 2 1/2 inch off road h-pipe exhaust from the exhaust manifolds to the mufflers, and the exhaust from the mufflers to the tailpipes is all factory 2 1/4 inch exhaust. My question is if I get a full cat-back exhaust that would make all of my exhaust 2 1/2 inches including new mufflers will i see a real HP gain, because these catback exhaust kits aren't cheap, I just don't want to waste the money. And also what do you think is the best catback that's 2 1/2 inches, I 'm leaning towards Borla, but steer me in another direction if i'm wrong.

Bassani and magnaflow are my favorites, just saw that you have mufflers, i'd say sell them and get the whole catback system from one of these two.. HP should be improve by a few, nothing too noticable. But worth the sound anyways, bassani and mag's sound AWESOME!

I got the magnapacks and I love the sound. They sound really mean. You should see a gain of some ponies because a decent aftermarket catback will be mandrel bent unlike the stock exhaust which will make for more flow. But the sound def is worth the sound you will get.

Hey thanks for the replys, yeah i would really like the Bassani exhaust, but ouch, man that's going to cost me out the waazu, what about the flowmaster or mac catbacks, any op. on these.I'm going to see a friend of mine this weekend who lives out of town and he just installed magnaflows on his gt which are dumped, i can't wait to hear his setup, i just might go with that but will it cause a drop in HP?

I have a 21/2 inch Flowmaster 40 series american thunder
catback and it makes my stang sound great! If I were you I'd get
the Flowmaster catback but,it your choice and your stang!
The Flowmaster mufflers are alot less restrictive than the stock
mufflers and you would be opening the hole with 21/2 inch piping
so, I would say you would gain HP but,not alot just from a catback.
You will also gain good sound from a chambered muffler!
