I ran a 15.47 on the run before my trans blew which was the fastest its ever run. Now that I've got a 2500 rpm stall and a HD trans what do you guys think? Are 14's possible? My best 60' was 2.20 before the stall and trans work. Thanks!

I would venture to say yes. You have 4.10s that’s going to help you out tremendously. You need to find some traction and bring those 60' down. Hell advance the timing it free hp, lower rear tire pressure to 25 psi inflate front tire psi 40, remove front sway bar(install after you finish racing), remove some weight pass seat, rear seat,ect... good luck.

I agree that a good set of tires either ET streets or a set of drag radials will get you in the 14's with no problem.

Well the answer is no. The best I could get was a 15.42 on drag radials. This is getting ridiculous. The freakin Diablo chip cost me 2/10's. It shifting at all the wrong rpms, like holding 1st to 6200 and 2nd to 5800. I turned the chip off and still couldn't get past 15.42

I know the vert is heavy and all but I'm getting frustrated.

Man are verts really that much hevier? I ran 15.2 when my car was bone stock, not even a k & n air filter. And that was street tires and stock gears by just pressing the brake and launching at like 1500 rpm's. How much do those verts weigh?? I would think you should be able to pull 14's no sweat with the stall converter. What were your 60 ft times like??? Did you lower the tire pressure in those d/r's to like 15 psi? They wont hook up unless you lower the tire pressure and roast the **** out of them to get em nice and sticky.

60' was 2.26. The tires were at 15 psi. I burned them for a good 5-6 seconds at 3500 in second. It weighs 3405 or 3585 with me in it. One of us needs to go on a diet.

I'll take your cobra intake off of ya when you're ready as long as your available for technical assistance with the install. Yes, the factory h-pipe is still on. I'm waiting for the great state of Illinois to send me an emissions notice before I take it off. I know as soon as I take it off its gonna come.

I have a 95 AODE vert with 4:10's, 3000 stall and DR's + 1 5/8 shorties, 2.5 h-pipe and dumps and I'm running 14.6 with 1.9 60ft. Before I got my chip from JMS I was having a lot of shifting problems. and couldn't get out of the 15's. I'd try giving JMS a call.
