Hey guys. Well I'm finally getting started building a new motor for my car. I'm building a 347 using a Dart block , AFR 185 heads, custom cam, Holley Systemax intake, etc. I was just wondering if I absolutely NEED to change my fuel rails right now. All the little knick-knack parts are eating up my budget so if I can cut a few minor corners it would definately save my budget.... a little. Thanks in advance.

Stock fuel rails are rated up to 450 HP. Anything past that you run the risk of running lean and could cause damage to your engine. Those that have been able to run more HP on stock rails and had no [roblems have just been lucky. So if you make more than 450 RWHP get aftermarket fuel rails.
