Shorties give about 4-5rwhp peak. Look at the dyno and what they lost low end. Not worth it for the $ when you are N/A.

my car is lowered with steeda sport springs (not a huge drop) and I have LTs. I pass over speed bumps every day without any problems. It doesn't hang a whole lot lower than the stock exhaust, but still a bit lower.

Could someone tells us the diffference in sound w/shorties? Someone asked it earlier and I did not see an answer. If it makes it sound better, adds a couple of hp and is lighter....why the hell not? However, if the car sound sucks...LTs

thats been one of my concern. I want to get LT's, but lowered with sportline without Isorater, i think i'm going to run in to probrem. As is, i have to plan where I drive my car to ahead of time to avoid that.
Plus, shorty do make life much easier when it comes to inspection time.
here in PA, since I just moved here, i don't know if I get LT and catted mid, would pass inspection...
i think in future what I'm going to do is to get tubuler K member, and get LT, and just swap them when inspection is due or when I need to change clutch on my car

I love my LTs and I wouldn't have it any other way

here's a pic

as you can see where the x-pipe and cat-back connect is where its hanging down the most, it still needs adjustments

I wouldn't trust that dyno chart, it has conflicting information.

At any given rpm level, identical torque means identical HP (for that RPM). So it is impossible to gain torque at a particular rpm without gaining horsepower at that rpm also.

That is one way to tell if the dyno info is BS or not. Another way is that torque and HP are numerically identical at exactly 5250 rpm.

Thats what I'm saying. The numbers are complete ****. They are impossible. The dyno results were made up by idiots.
