if its a ball and socket joint then i dont really see why not. you can match just about any ball and socket joint to each other as long as one isnt massively bigger than the other

Quit being a cheap bastard and buy some aftermarket headers! I'll even sell you mine once I take them off. Only thing is the sparkplugs will be almost impossible to get to with the sparkplug socket so you'll have to moidfy one.

are you guys kin or what?

lol you sound like me and my dad. He has his showtruck, and doesn't skimp anywhere, and i always here about how its not always good to be cheap. I tell him i don't make what he makes either, and all i get is sarcasm.

BOT. the headers should work without a problem but you will be bolting on heads to gain performance yet restricting the heads performance by putting stock manifolds on them. Just my .02, but i am learning the hard way not to do it, unless you have everything you need to do it right the first time. lol --- darn life lessons

Are you sure about that?

I thought that the explorers had really funky headers to make the 5.0 fit in the chassis.

Either way, I wouldn't do it because it is being super cheap. I would just get some nice platinum plugs and install your old headers, then save up for GT40p compatible headers and swap when it's convenient.

don't buy the platinum plugs, unless you want that thing acting squirelly (sp?) lol

i put plats. in mine, and it acted weird, idled worse than normal, and got worse mileage than the copper plugs.

Dude im in the same boat as you, got the p heads and am not about to throw 300$ on headers. The manifolds from the explorer mostlikely wont work the one side goes kinda up insted of down they both dont go at the same angle so the h pipe wont line up.

Whats with the p headers? i mean will say mac uneaqual headers will they work i just cant use a spark plug socket, so i will have to put the plugs in first before i put the headers on?? catch my drift? or would the plugs/wires be in the way of the header tubes?
