Will this or won't this rub?

I have a 2001 GT Bullitt. Some of you may be familiar with the factory Bullitt package. I want to know if I can safley lower my GT with Eibach Sportlines and not worry about the wheels rubbing on the inside of the fender. I am worried about going over uneven pavment on the highway. Rubbing because of the bouncing caused by everyday driving. I don't mind creeping over speed bumps to protect the bottom, but I want no rubbing on tire and wheel well. I have 275/40/17's and stock bullitt wheels and no other mods. I want it to be as low as possible. What do you guys think is the lowest and safest springs? Has anyone had rubbing issues? What setups do you recommend and think will rub? Thanks in advance for your help.

If you want LOW.. i'd go with H&R Super Sports.. But the regular H&R Sports or Steeda Sport Springs look good and lower pretty nicely as well

Well i didnt rub before, but now that i took out the front isolators on my sportlines, ill rub the inside of the fender on big bumps at higher speeds

My vote is:they'll run only in extreme circumstances,like really hard fast cornors.

I don't think you will really have rubbing issues, but what I really worry about on my Bullitt is the mudflaps that are in the sideskirts...they hit certain speedbumps even creeping over them, that alone is the reason that I'm not going to lower mine...just a thought.

I lowered the Mach with MRT racing springs and dropped the rear another 1/2" with the Steeda adjustable control arms. I run 275's out back and before I dropped the rear an extra 1/2" it would rub the tire on the outside wheel well. Since then I have put an MM Panhard bar on controlling the lateral movement of the rear end and the tire has never rubbed again.

My step son has lowered his near 2 1/2" in the rear on a '04 GT and he is running 275's also. He has the Panhard bar as well and has had no problems with rubbing at all. I'd say he puts his Mustang through its cornering paces a little more than I do too and also goes places I don't take mine that has irregular surfaces and angles.

Both of us are running 245's up front so I can't say if 275's will rub up there when lowering to the extremes that we have.

my car is lowered with sportline and isorater removed. thats almost 2.25" drop on front. If your going to maintain the Bullitt look(no chin spoiler or anything), i think you'll be fine as long as you stay on road you know(so you know all the potholes and such), and stay away from speedbumps(no matter how slow I go, i can't clear any of them).
I'm running 275 on front. and yes I do rub at lock.

IMO, if you do not want the rub, and maintain decent driveability, go with H&R. I know I wish I did. Your rear should be fine with 275.

MM guys will tell him not to drop that low, then say he'll need the K-member package and very stiff springs that are not suitable for the street
