Great looks like I'm it again I will be hitting up Lakeland/Clearwater/Tampa area if this track holds true. The good news is I just have to get the stang to make it and stay with some stangers on a Tampa bay stang forum who have already welcomed me if need be.

What really sucks is I'd take the west side up north (highway US27) to avoid the traffic jams on the south side (I95, turnpike). This storm has a 200 mile reach from ALL side of the eye, this biotch is huge (renamed Bertha )

I'm trying to take it with me think about it, jack stands+130plus mph winds=car on it's roof. I'd rather let it flood then chance it. Besides the only reason Katrina flooded my area was because it was lazy it barely moved this one has some speed to it.

true about the flooding, but you wont get the 130, maybe 80 by you. you should be ok.

Just remember the last 2 hurricanes went further then the opposite way they though this far ahead. they thought Katrina was gonna swing up and hit the whole pan handle... In stead it destroyed neworleans. Then the one after that they said was gonna hit neworleans again it hit mostly texas instead. Im thinking its going more north.

the damage to new orlaens was mainly two days after when the leveys broke. Miss got the worst of it.

I agree about the "more north" thing...even though I hate to admit it, because that'd be me! But, the longer it takes until it turns east, the more north it is going to hit in Florida. If this thing is phenominal, then the pressure system that is supossed to turn it may take more then a nudge to get it turned. I mean, didn't they expect it to turn or start turning by now???

Yes, jack stands + high winds=upside down! Reminds me, think I'd better fill my boat w/ water if it starts heading this way??

Anyway, good luck to everybody in Florida. As the day goes on, we will learn more. On Monday, everyone try and check in so we know if everyone's ok. Ok?

Just came back from a business trip in Tampa, Brandon then lastly Lakeland.

Just have to wait for that curve towards Florida to determine exactly where.
