Im looking to put a windage tray on my 88 5.0 since im rebuilding the engine, so i figure i might as well do it while im there. can anyone recomend a windage tray that will work with the stock oil pan and pickup? thanks alot
I looked into the Mac one. They told me that it would fit without modification as long as you used a stock style pump and pick up.
I had a windage tray that came with the engine I bought. It was designed for an aftermarket pick up. When installed on a stock pick up, it wouldnt side over far enough and the rods would hit it in 2 places.
I just turned it around. Now where its marked front, is pointed towards the back of the engine. No clearance issues at all. I posted a question about it and no one could give me a reason that it wouldnt work so I figured, no clearance issues, shouldnt be a problem. Guess we will see.
