Can anyone offer any tips for getting fastback door windows adjusted properly? I've got all new channels and rubber, regulators. The scissor piece is original. It's very tight going up and down due to the channel lining. The regulator won't take it completely to the top without help, just too tight.

Ideas? Or just let them break in over time?

You need to make sure that the channel in the front is aligned with the channel in the back because it sounds like they are not and that is cousing your binding. Simply loosen the bolts on the rear one till it is free to move and see if the window moves more freely....if so you found your problem.

This sort of stuff always gets the best of me. I've got wind noise in my 66 that I can't get rid of. I can't get the windows adjusted properly.

I freely admit it. I'm a loser. :(

Try reading your Ford Shop Manual. It has EVERYTHING you may want to know about your car.

Fine suggestion, but I've been working it with the rear channel loose until I get it dialed in. The problem seems more with the regulator not having enough leverage to get past the last 1/4 inch to the top.
