Window Goes Too High

Well, once again the window seems to be off track

The driver's window is going too far up and when I shut the door the glass hits and the door won't shut. This happened once before and the guys at Ford reglued it for $140. Car is a 2001 GT and only has 34,000 miles. Power windows.

Anyway I can fix this myself? I'm handy with a 5.0 but I've never messed with a 4.6. Is the window setup the same?

Yes, you need a new Window Regulator. I made a thread on installing mine in 4.6 Tech with pics.

No, you just need to glue the window at the bottom where it sits in the metal bracket that pushes it up. Mine is doing the same thing, but I have never bothered to fix it. I am careful not to let it go up too far.

I have the same damn problem on my drivers side, it goes to high. I just raise it a little below the weather stripping and i'm good.
