The previous owner of my car was having wiper issues before i picked up the car. I replaced the wiper motor and the wipers now move but when the interior switch is placed in the "o" position(off) the wipers keep going. I assumed the interior switch may be broken so i got a used switch from the same friend who gave me the wiper motor and still no change in the problem. The switch was out of a 91 5.0 lx and the wiper motor is a 2 plug out of a 89 or 90 notch back. Does anyone know whats wrong with this thing????...Im starting to loose hair from this stang..... lmao

I would apprecciate any help guys.....

Thanks

Adam

the wipers work by multiplexing. Meaning different voltage values control different things. There is a module under the drivers side of the dash that controls the wiper motor. It is bolted to an A frame shaped mount. I think it is grey. I think I have the one from my 93 somewhere. I swapped in a 01 dash and had to swap the module to work with the newer resistance values in the turn signal stalk. I will give you the old one, cover shipping.

I had issues with my wipers once and it turned out to be the intermittant control module. The gray box described by Chrome. I pulled one out of the JY and all is good.

I had the same problem with my wipers a while back, they just did not want to turn off. Very embarrasing ! I replaced the motor and the problem was solved. I think I remember someone here saying the park feature is inside the motor. It can also be many other things as have been mentioned.
