so here's the deal. I've got a 93 notch with a 351w in it now. its been this way for years but ive decided to upgrade. Current combo is a built short block, unported gt40p's, performer rpm, proform 750 dp, and bbk shorties. the car went a best of 11.29 on a 150 pill with a t-5. it currently has a c4 with a 11 inch 5000 stall converter and went 11.7 on the same 150 pill.

I came across a smoking deal on another built 351w long block with ridiculously ported stock windsor heads and an air gap intake. it is also main girdled unlike my current block so i picked it up for cheap.

here's my question. I want to do this motor and drivetrain right one last time around for some red headed step child type motor with the two and a couple of misc purchased parts but i need some insight. here are the parts I have on hand already or are on their way:

-trick flow aluminum high ports with dual valve springs and comp 1.6 pro mags
-bradco 9 inch 3200 stall converter
-bbk long tubes
-qa1 tubular k member, control arms, and coil over kit

i need some insight in choosing the following parts though:
-starter and flex plate (i backfired through the carb on the last day at the track last season and somehow managed to completely destroy the starter and flexplate trying to start the motor when it snapped up to 4000 rpm at startup with the bent butterflies in the carb from the backfire) I had problems with the old starter making noise on kickback so i want to alleviate that this time around. I also would like opinions on 157 vs 164 tooth flex plate
-oil pump and pan (windage trays or not, a good pump, and a cheaper but good aluminum pan, etc)
-picking up a super victor instead of the air gap
-electric water pump(whats the best in your opinions)
-harmonic dampener

its a 28oz balance motor

thanks in advance for the input
