wine ...wine....wine i want you to shut up(trans)

fairly new trans, and it wines in 1st and 2nd sometimes 3rd but it does it when down shiftting(not engine braking) just down shift, what could cause this???
im running redline trans fluid and its filled proper i dont see why it would wine, my old trans did it too....... the way i know its the trans is if i down shift you hear it, feel it through the shifter sometimes, but if i put it in netral then it wont do it........could a pilot bearing wine loud enough to hear .......but the pillot and tob are new......????? im stump!!!!!! ..................

it may quiet down after break-in, my tko did. also do you have the rubber shift boot installed properly.

ha im pass breakin lol the one that bolts to the floor yes even then it seems like you can hear it through the car

im not to sure,but i know that everyone ive owned and most all my friends make the same whine when downshifting.some louder then others.its not bad its just annoying.i thought there was something wrong at first as well but i drove a few and realized its pretty normal.

My t-5 doesnt whine when downshifting...it whines at other times...and has other problems...but no whining when downshifting.

Are you just talking about the sound it makes when you are trying to get the shifter into a lower gear...when you are in the act of pushing the shifter into 3rd from 4th? That whining sound is just the syncros and is pretty normal.
