on those honeycomb trim panels ive seen the parts in between the honeycomb design things painted to match...not sure if you know what i mean, it made it look more like a black spider web looking thing with the insides painted to match.

that was awesome looking

I took the wing off my 2001 and it looks great. The only problem is finding a trunklid without any holes in it. I've been searching ebay, junkyards, etc. for the past 6 months and haven't found anything. Apparently, they are pretty rare; especially trying to find one in the right color. This weekend I'm in the process of filling the holes. While I'm at it, im going to take off the emblems and fill those holes as well. She'll be a clean machine.

Anyone know why the rear bumper tends to come up in the middle where the dip is for the trunk?? I've noticed it on many stangs and mine comes and goes, drives me nuts

And I say keep the wing, it flows with the rest of the "sceme" on the car.

When i was scrolling down the pics, i was thinking to myself "Wow, that car would look hot with a black wing like the Mach 1s"

Then i scroll down a little more and see that's exactly what you have!

I like the winged look a lot better. I need to find myself a Mach 1 wing too

wonder if you could stick long bolts or something through under the trunk (where the back bumper bolts on) in a row to make the whole bumper stay up as high as in the middle?

One of my uncles friends owns a muscle car restore shop and he painted the wing and hood scoop for free.

What if you could put some double sided tape on the other side of the bumper to hold it down

In your case I like the wing better, if you were lowered with some fatter rear tires and different style wheels then I'd say go wingless.

Sure thing...I'm also in the process of filling in the hood scoop area of a 99 mustang hood. All said and done, it should be the cleanest mustang on the road. Don't worry, when I'm all done, i'll do one massive post of all the mods together. Be excited.
