But seriously, I love GT wings on LX's. That's what my set up was until I got my Saleen body kit. I decided to stick with the GT wing, though. Which THAT looks awesome, Saleen kit with GT wing

I would love to put a SVO bi-wing on my lx. But whenever i find one its waaaaay overpriced and either missing studs or cracked.i wish someone made reproduction one.

problem with that is the extra holes for the LX wing on mine have been filled in. so id need a new hatch. which isnt out of the question since mines starting to rust under the passanger side wing mount now

I will soon have a LX one in excellent shape available for you or anyone who votes that way. My used GT spoiler just came by UPS yesterday. I already have a Cobra insert up front and May get the rest of the front for the froggy lights.

My 79 (last stang) looked incomplete without the 87 GT hatch spoiler. I liked it better than the 83 GT style. It felt like it handled better with the spoiler at highway speed. It felt more planted in the rear, but it may have been my imagination. Either way, I vote GT or modest whale tail.

Says the guy with the fiberglass front end. C'mon Derek! Make it look like a 6-second car! (meanwhile, I'll keep the stock LX spoiler on my STREETCAR)

My car already had the GT spoiler when I bought it. I would rather have the LX because I like a Fox to look close to stock, but I can live with the spoiler for now. I dunno if this makes sense, but I think the right wheels, stance, and taillights help different spoilers look better.

This just makes me want to vomit...

Haha it's just the lower valance! And it's still on my work bench. I need to fix the glasswork I started. The resin hasn't hardened. Think I shorted myself on hardener

Sorry, been offshore too long, need to get home...

With that said, the thought of sanding fiberglass just made me shudder.

Depending on where you buy the saleen wing it weighs like 4lbs more than the gt wing

Mine was a true saleen piece as well. You could barley tell the diff in weight between it and the gt wing I swapped it with

^^that cobra bumper cover with the Saleen wing is a sexy combo. I'm even liking the '86 tail lights.

Anyway Derek, you're really worried about the weight of the wing on your streetcar? You're officially not allowed to poke fun at me on facebook anymore! Besides, if there's anywhere you wouldn't mind a little extra weight on your car, it's there! I almost put a glass hatch and lexan window on one of my foxes many years ago... then I was like, Wait, WHAT? Weight reduction over the back tires? No bueno!
