Lookin like my ole man!??!!? Well I have just had a block sittin in the car for the last two months, so we installed the cam along with the timing gear, the lifters, and the heads themselves. Just a few small steps, but he should be coming over sometime in Feb and we can finish it once and for all!

As for the polishing, yes I have done some myself, but I have a ways to go to finish all the polishing... Slowly but surely! Anything up your sleeve from the winter?

Up my sleeve, lol. No. Bought a new car, and bought my wife a new car last Fall. Just working on my 250R 3 wheeler mainly. I am totally involved with duning at this stage of my life. Whatever free time I have, I am moving sand Have not driven the Saleen since the Wranglers show back in Sept. It does need a new tune, which Chung and I will get together in the spring time to toss a bit more timing.

Polish work is not only a pain in the azz, but it is such a dirty job. Its gets everywhere. I am really wanting to see your car completed. Your planning on running a chip and ditch the FMU correct?

I am definitely excited as well, as this is the first car I even modified so I sure hope I do it all right. I also agree about the polishing... Not quite the most fun I have had, but I will get it done one way or another.

I actually already have a SCT tune from Chung, twice over as I changed a pulley a while back, so I am in good shape there. I am actually in the process of looking for some 42 lbers and selling my 30's... Bye Bye FMU. Despite the controversy, my FMU worked flawlessly and did its job well, but I opt out on band aids when funds allow...

Well, not to resurrect an old post, but I am pretty excited so I am going to! I finished the car, and there is really no need for me to post any pics as it’s too hard to see any change aside from the polished valve covers and headers. I only polished a few pieces and got too anxious to just let it sit there for me to find the time to polish... maybe next winter. For now, it runs like a raped ape. Chung threw a fairly conservative tune on it, and I "lost" boost and now am at 7 lbs... Just more efficiency I know. Either way, building the top end of an engine is fun, but I don’t recommend it to someone without a LOT of time.... good times...
Thanks Chung and Jeff(s) for advice and tuning as well as Andy for pitching in a bit. See ya at the track!

Absolutely bro. No appologies needed whatsoever. All the help you gave made it all the more possible. As for the next purchase, it should suit me just right...
