i need a wire diagram for the 05-06 mustang. what id like to know is where and what color, can i pick up the electric wire for the trunk. id like to put in a momentary switch in the glove compartment to open the trunk. i figure if i use the switched side of the brake pedal circuit thru a n.o. switch and connect it to the trunk circuit, itd be somewhat easy to have a in car switch only activated when the brake and button are pushed.
comments are certainly appreciated.

This is one of the items that I wish Ford had included. Other Mustang models have interior trunk release. I don't know why they didn't do it on the S197 line. I will be interested in you research.

Ford did the wiring pretty good on this stang, makes it real easy to wire up an alarm and remote start.

The wire you need is in the sjb (smart junction box) it is on the passside kick panel, the trunk release is a white\purple wire in the black 52 pin plug, and it is pin number 13.

It takes a momentary negative pulse to pop the truck...

So to wire one up easy all you really need is a push button switch, one side at ground and the other to the white\pink wire.

Or if your trying to keep it from accidentally getting opened and using the brake pedal like you said, you would put the brake pedal +12v, when pressed, to the 86 pin on a relay and the 85 pin to ground, then a momentary switch with one side going to ground and the other to pin 87 on the relay, and then pin 30 goes to the white\pink wire..

Then when you press the switch it will only pop the trunk with the brake pressed...
