Does anyone know of a tool use to remove the pins (i.e. push the wires out of) from our electrical connectors? Say I want to remove the pins from the MAF sensor plug to replace a frayed wire, isn't there a tool to do that? Thanks!
mo_dingo said:You can get a universal kit off of the parts trucks (cornwell, etc) that will work for GM/Ford/etc connectors. If it's like the plug on the transmission VSS, a very small and thin/flat screwdriver will get the tab off of the molex tab and you can pull the wire out.
If it's the same, it will look like this. The red line is the plastic tab that holds the molex connector inside the plug. A eye glass screwdriver is small enough to get in there.
