The wipers on my car stopped working all together. I though it was the fuse.... Checked that (I think it's in position 4 in the kick panel fuse box 30a), and it was not blown. Thought it was the multifunction switch. Replaced it w/ a spare I had lying around and again nothing. I don't think it's the motor b/c neither my wipers or windshield washer pissers are working. I still thinking it's switch related but don't see how both are all of a sudden bad. Anybody help troubleshoot this??

Car in question is a 94GT. I recently had the entire interior out dashboard and all. Everything else seems to work fine, just the wipers aren't.

Did you test I/O voltage at the fuse, or I/O voltage at the MF switch?

Just check for voltage at the fuse (just because the fuse isn't blown doesnt mean there's power even reaching it). Check both sides of the fuse because they sometimes blow in such a way that you cant see the separation.

I'd have to dig up a wiring diagram to check the wiring colors for the wipers. You'd be checking for voltage into the MF switch, and then voltage out when the wipers are activated (the motor itself receives constant accessory power so the wipers park, even if you turned the MF switch off). Since you had the interior apart, chances are that a wire connector is undone or the governor was left disconnected.

ok so had some time today and I have voltage at both sides of the fuse w/ the key in the run position but they still don't work. The switch is plugged in I followed the wires from the switch but it just runs into the main harness and that's where I loose it. Looking at the diagrams I have a brown/white, dark blue/white, and orange wires at the switch for the wipers. My diagram shows a wiper control module but I have no idea where that is located. if it's under the dash maybe it was unplugged but didn't really see anything of the sort that was disconnected.

Having this exact issue. Also tried changing the mutli switch out with a spare and no change. Checked/changed the "wiper" (30amp) fuse no change.

The wipers and windshield sprayer are not working. Usually I would open my ford book and take a look at the wiring diagram, but a friend is borrowing mine and I won't be able to get it back until sunday and it is going to rain tonight!
