wiring issue from Alternator to Battery

My original power wires were looking great too before i did my swap, then one day the stock splice caught fire, Got myself a 3G from the Zone, and never looked back. Easy peasy to do, and the end result looks a lot better.

what does the green wire and the yellow wire do on the voltage regualtor plug
is the green going to the dash, and the yellow merge into the black power wire going to the starter relay?

The green/red wire does 2 things:
1.) It tells the regulator to turn on and supply power to the alternator field winding. The field winding is an electromagnet that helps the alternator convert rotary motion into electricity.
2.) When the alternator output voltage is low, it provides a ground to make the alternator warning light on the dash turn on.

The yellow/white wire is the voltage sense wire that tells the regulator how much voltage drop is in the black/orange wire so that it can increase the voltage to overcome the loss in the wiring.
