alright i have a 68 mustang that has serious eletrical issues can not even get it to crank over any more been trying to fix it but no dice. I do not have the money to get a new harness due to just graduating and i am shipping to basic soon, and would like to get the car at least running. the motor has just been professional rebuilt so i no mechanicly i should have no problem.
Now for the question i bought a universal starting switch and it has a post for starter, battery, ignition and acc. how would i wire this while keeping the starting selond.(ps i dont care right now about the lights or any thing else i just want the engine to run and the car to drive so i can take it with me after basic.
thanks any help apperciated

How do you know it is the switch and not the solenoid? Have you wired a jumper to the solenoid to see if the motor will crank, or did you assume it was the switch? Not trying to be an a-hole, just wondering if you had done all the diagnostics beforehand, since you did not list any in your post.
