With all the Capri talk - I'm surprised nobody mentioned this article!

Bah, perfectly good Capri fenders that could have been saved for a CAPRI.

I was looking online to see if replacement quarters and fenders were available for 79-86 Capri's, and came across this. Looks like they want to bring the Capri name back. Too bad it's more like a Mazda than a Mustang

That car looks good to me... Taking some of the best features of a few fox bodied cars.

Some of the Capri humping that goes on here, makes me nervous trying to do something different. Apparently it doesnt matter how clean, well done, fast, tasteful or anything... if the parts arent year and car specific, some people hate it.

I agree with you, that's a good looking car.
My brother had shown me pics of that notchback over the winter, and wants to use Capri fenders on his notch. He likes the fox body cars, and wants to take the cues he likes best from different models, to create his ideal fox. He wants to build a car he likes, and knows not everyone will approve of it.

I'm just pissed that he beat me to the punchline. I can almost guarantee you that dude stole the idea from me, as i've only ever seen 3 other coupes with that nose in the 5 years i've been on various Mustang forums.

Oh well, mine'll be better when (if) it gets finished

some people are a little too close minded about these cars. I personally think Capri's are fugly except for a few I've seen around. But to me even those aren't as good looking as a tastefully, well built mustang. Like frankie said, to each their own. That red coupri is SICK!

So maybe you're close minded about the looks of a Capri?

There's a lot of things about that car that i think are dumb, which is why i say mine will be better.

haha maybe I didn't phrase that correctly. They are cool cars, I really think they are, I would just choose a stang over one almost everytime. But I give respect when respect is due, no matter the car make. Even to some "ricers"! :x

That car looks perfect, I would take it in a heartbeat and I'm partial to hatches. The coupri has a road race look, almost a '70s Trans-Am racer feel to it.

It kind of reminds me of the Monte Carlo SS but not nearly as ugly.

It is true to each their own, just seems you say the word Capri, and if it isnt factory original people call blasphemy on it. I personally think a fox with some capri fenders and a 79 nose looks badass... The wheels on the red car dont do it for me, neither does it being a coupe, but thats just my personal taste.

That of which I might not have any!

That car is money in the bank, i dont care what the purists say. like 25th says, that is a great representation of the strengths of several fox bodies, with a ridiculous motor as a cherry on top!

Altough I like keeping Capri's together just because it is getting harder and harder to find them, that car is beautiful.

Yes I like Capri's - but even I sport some mustang features (ahem...5lug swap & wheels) and like it. And I dig the wheels on the red car above. After paint, I may try a set.

I'm not a "purist" but, I do wish people would leave Capri parts for the Capri owners. I'm having ONE HELL OF A TIME finding body parts to convert mine back. I love Fox Mustangs as well as Capris and I also wish Ford would have used Capri fenders on Mustangs but they didn't.

fwiw, I have SVO sail panels on my Capri.

I was just thinking that Ford should have put the Capri fenders on the Mustang in '87 when the Capri was gone.

But then every one would be trying to put the "79-86" Mustang fenders on their cars now.
