Checking out some cold air intakes for my 04 v6. I know it won't do much of a difference to horsepower but i was wondering if any of yall have tried out the generic ones from ebay? They're only around $50. Might only have to replace that air filter since it looks cheap. Or should i just spend an extra $50 for a used BBK?

If you just want bling or sound get if but you won't get any performance out of it

I would buy one from AM (doesn't have to be expensive) where the filter sits inside your fender. It will mostly just improve your throttle response and make your engine bay look nicer. Expect anywhere from 5-10 HP with a tune

Your not really going to gain much of anything. It just looks much nicer when you open the hood.

Stay away from the metal ones. They just generate more heat into the air induction.
