I have a problem in which I've searched the forums and can't find one like the problem I'm experiencing.
I can't figure it out and need the Forum expertise!
I have a 91 5.0 with this specific problem 100% of the time hot or cold engine. When cruising at normal speed, hesitation and popping but when I WOT the sucker, no problems at all. Driving me nuts literally! PLEASE HELP!
This is what I've done so far.
1.Codes pulled, none all clear with 11 on both engine on and off sequence.
2. New plugs
3. New wires
4. New distributor and TFI
5. New O2 sensors
6. New ICV
7. Recently changed fuel pump and filter.
8. Cleaned MAF and filter
9. Cleaned EGR as much as possible but still quite of bit of carbon buildup.
10. Kirban Fuel Pressure Reg OK at 38psi
11. Vacuum at 10
12. Fuel Lines OK
13. Timing at 10
14. TPS at .98
15. Catalytic converters, none H pipe.
16. New ignition coil and also tested with old one
HELP PLEASE!!! Any ideas? Can a EGR or EGR position sensor, TAD, TAB go bad even though no codes are present? To test the system I disconnected the EGR vacuum line and received code 33 so I know the system works.
