How inn the hell do you postion a WOT on the 94/95 setup. I have fab like 400 brakets and can not seem to make anything work.

Anybody got any pics to show how they did it. Is there a curtain switch you need to use.

Also does anyone know where to get just a compucar throttle pull switch. I think i can make that type switch work easier.

Ive never set on up, but i have seen them where there are tewo metal contacts on the part of the throttle that is on the intake elbow (cant even remember what its called) and they would make the two contacts touch at WOT.

For a NOS kit? I remember having to bend the hell out of the one they supplied. After a while I just said **** it.. I knew when I was at WOT, no need for a switch.

I ended up putting mine on the "floorboard" of the car. It's not where you would kick it, it's higher up and gets hit by the arm of the gas pedal a couple of inches above my foot. There's a bracket already bolted there too, so I didn't even have to drill any holes, I just threaded a second nut onto a stud that was there.

With my compucar kit I just have a bent L shape bracket (think the bracket came with the kit). I mounted the bracket to one on of the t-body mounting bolts that mounts the t-body to the upper intake (or elbow). I had to put a slight bend in the arm part but it gets hit by the throt cable armiture(sp?) that gets pulled by the throt. cable. When its at WOT there is a big end that has a groove in it that is what hits the switch. Go under you car and pull/move that part and you will see what I mean.

Have done some research and a company called FJOracing makes a switch that you setup via usb and a computer to either activate off of TPS voltage or a RPM.

If you're not a _COMPLETE_ retard, you don't need a WOT switch.

You're at WOT when the gas pedal is all the way down. What more do you need to know? You need a switch to tell you that? If you do you have some major problems!

Speaking of units...
I'm pretty sure he knows what this thread is about, but was making a joke regarding the need for a WOT switch. Be glad I'm not a mod, I'd give you a few days off from the site for the personal attack, which is against site rules if you've read them, noob?

I thought that nitrous kits just got hooked up to the TPS wire, and detected WOT. I guess I'm wrong though.

well first of all the attack came from him first. and not a noob been on here for quite awhile, just changed screen names.
with the WOT switch i guess to each his own. I prefer it over a push button. Not trying to be an ass, just looking for other peoples fixes.
The ZEX kits are nice, but all ready have a NX and a Nitrious Works and really don't want to buy another kit.

For foxes, WOT is achieved at 2.71 Volts over the baseline TPS reading (generally 3.7 volts = WOT, as far as the computer is concerned - that's when WOT trim is used, etc etc).
I wonder if some of the tuning guys can share what the T4/J4 TPS threshold for WOT is - that would be a slick way of activating the gas (as someone suggested above).

Allthrottle, I can post a picture of my setup when I get home this evening, I will take a close of pic of how I have the WOT switch installed. Give me a couple hours and I have them up.

For starters: Wtf is a unit?

Second, I know what you're talking about, and still think it's useless. Either way you still have to turn the nitrous system on to be activated. The WOT switch is knocked when the cable on your T/B reaches a certain point, it doesn't even have to be at WOT, it can be at half throttle or w/e depending on where you put it. Also, a few people I've talken to have had problems with the switch moving if the screw comes loose or whatever is holding it down, hence I return to my useless statement.

Just have a button or switch to activate the solinoid. Don't use a WOT switch.

Oh, and about not knowing what I'm talking about... I've used the NOS #5115 kit last summer, helped a friend with a NX system, and currently use a Zex system. So :Zip2:
